Sturgis Spring & Food Expo

Join us on April 19th 2024 for the Spring and Food Expo! This year we will host this event inside at Sturges-Young Center for the Arts! This years theme is back by popular request as Tastings of the Great Lakes. Sample foods and desserts from each Great Lakes States. Live Music, Free Floral Make & Take Station, Photo Ops, Food Trucks and Craft Vendors. Enjoy food from Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio and Canada!

Plan to come to Sturges-Young Center for the Arts on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 730PM for The Trippin Billies are the nation’s most renowned, original, and longest touring tribute to the Dave Matthews Band, bringing fans the music of The Dave Matthews Band for close to twenty years! Comprised of some of the best musicians in Chicago, you need not be a diehard DMB fan to enjoy a show. Wacky Trivia Night

Are you a trivia nut? Do you love silly, wacky fun? Then join us at Sturges- Young Center for the Arts on May 17th starting at 7PM for WACKY TRIVIA NIGHT hosted by none other than Craig Tornquist! When Craig did trivia night for our local COA christmas party two years ago, we knew we wanted him to come host for us. He has performed over 3,000 clean comedy acts across America, and now he will entertain you with his hillarious competition, his wacky outfits to his outrageously goofy prizes. This will surely be a night of laugher and fun, and FAMILY FRIENDLY! Included will be an appetizer buffet made by Hippadders Catering! There will also be a cash bar for all your adult beverage needs along with normal non alocholic drinks for the youngins who love trivia. There is not a specific dress code for this event, HOWEVER, we will welcome any pattern mix-matching, wacky hair-"dont"! We will see you May 17th 2024 at 7PM in the Union Room B at Sturges-Young Center for the Arts!

Imagination of History by Ryan Conrod

Sequel to the Imagination of Storybooks. Billie is in the 12th grade at his high school and he is having trouble in one class, history, and in order for him to pass his class and graduate high school, Billie needs to get the help and encouragement to get excited about history like he did with his prior Storybook reading. The downtown is having an event to celebrate the history of his community of Sturgis, and Billie was picked from his history class to represent his high school class. Can his family encourage him to succeed and pass the class? Can his friends at school help him? Can his favorite librarian encourage him to pass his final exam? Watch as the pages of history come to life in song and dance!
